Why Granada?

Several reasons can be mentioned. Granada is a city located at the foot of Sierra Nevada and represents one of the geographical points of the Iberian Peninsula that receives the highest number of visitors. This group of visitors can be divided into two subgroups: tourists and students.

On the one hand, tourism is one of the most important sectors in Granada. The astonishing number of historical sites and its proximity to one of the most famous Spanish ski resorts turn this city into a constant core of tourist reception.

On the other hand, the University of Granada, the fourth largest national university by number of students, it is one of the most popular destinations among Erasmus students. This settlement ensures a multicultural environment that is more than ideal for organising youth programmes such as this one.

Granada offers you as much as you could possibly think of: from an amazing visit to the majestic Alhambra after a long walk through its magic surroundings, to an incredible endless night on its streets full of bars and discos accompanied, of course, by the famous, delicious and cheap "tapas".

ALBAICIN

As we have already mentioned, Granada has the charm of being a city and having a university that attracts students from different places, both at national and international level. This fact increases considerably the chances of achieving a successful project.

To sum up, we could say that MEU Granada ensures the spreading of a pro European culture with the main aim of raising awareness among young people as to the importance of gaining a greater understanding of and involvement in the different issues that the European capitals deal with.
